This guide will walk you through installing AWX on a fresh CentOS7 machine. In this guide Docker is used without Docker-compose and the bare-minimum options were selected to get the application up and running. Operating System<\/h1>\n<p>All commands are assumed to be run as root.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not already logged in as root, sudo before getting started<\/p>\n<p><code>sudo su -<\/code><\/p>\n<h2>Update OS<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>Make sure your &#8216;\/etc\/resolv.conf&#8217; file can resolve dns. Config File<\/h1>\n<h2>Edit Postgres Settings<\/h2>\n<p><em>Note<\/em>: We will persist the PostgresDB to a custom directory.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p>Make the directory<\/p>\n<p><code>mkdir \/etc\/awx<\/code><\/p>\n<p><code>mkdir \/etc\/awx\/db<\/code><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Edit the inventory file<\/p>\n<p><code>vi \/usr\/local\/awx\/installer\/inventory<\/code><\/p>\n<p>Find the entry that says &quot;#postgres_data_dir&quot; and replace it with<\/p>\n<p><code>postgres_data_dir=\/etc\/awx\/db<\/code><\/p>\n<p>Save changes<\/p>\n<p><em>Note<\/em>: As of 12\/03\/2019, there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ansible\/awx\/issues\/3304\">bug<\/a> running with docker, to overcome the bug you need to find in the inventory &quot;#pg_sslmode=require&quot; and replace it with<\/p>\n<p><code>pg_sslmode=disable<\/code><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>3.
